The "Hanoi: History, Culture and People" commercial produced by CNN in 2018 

The move aims to realize the MoU between the city People’s Committee and CNN on the cooperative program for the 2019-2024 period signed in May 2019.

Specifically, the 60-second commercials include 5 parts of “The Keepers”, 5 parts of “Iconic Hanoi”, 3 parts of “60 Second Vacation”, 1 part of “Love Vietnam” and 1 part of “Sporting Moments Vietnam”.

The short commercials will bring to global audiences of CNN the diverse perspectives and experiences they can find in Hanoi. The series will be aired until October 21st, 2019 during the advertising time frame in Asia-Pacific, Europe-the Middle East, South Asia and North America.

The total number of broadcasts scheduled in 2019 is 60 times, with 15 times on screen for each broadcasting area.

According to the MoU with CNN, the capital city will spend USD4 million continuing its tourism promotion campaign over the next five years

Vietnam will host the first Formula race 1 in 2020

The network will produce 30-second and 60-second commercials introducing Vietnam’s first Formula 1 race which will be held in April 2020 and the 31st edition of the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in 2021. Both events will be held in Hanoi.

Earlier, the city had inked a USD2 million deal with CNN to run commercials featuring some of the wonders of Hanoi on the network for the 2017-2018 period./.
