“Online tourism is the development trend of science and technology worldwide and it is necessary to apply technology to tourism as soon as possible, creating for tourists the opportunity to choose services by themselves. With this year’s edition, the organizers expected to prove that tourism would be one of the pioneering sectors with a strong approach to technology,” Mr. Vu The Binh, Standing Deputy Head of the Vietnam Tourism Association.

VITM offers excellent opportunities for domestic and foreign businesses to introduce products, promote destinations, advertise brands, connect and expand cooperative opportunities, and develop business; contributing to fostering the position of Vietnam’s tourism regionally and internationally.

The event is being attended by 650 enterprises from more than 43 provinces and cities nationwide and 18 countries and territories, introducing and offering products, including more than 40,000 discounted air tickets and 15,000 discounted package tours.

Some agencies also launched programs for “hunting” zero-cost tours, with 1,000 inbound and outbound tickets and cards for using their services, with savings of up to 30% compared to the regular price.

It will also feature workshops in which both domestic and foreign experts will share their experience in the development of online tourism in several IT and travel businesses, including mobile internet, smart apps, big data and automation.

The mart will run until April 1st./.
