Airlines officially exploit T2 terminal at Da Nang airport

The new T2 international terminal has been put into operation at Da Nang airport to improve the quality of services, overcoming the overload of the current situation.

As one of important projects to serve APEC 2017 year, it is designed and installed with modern equipment, with 40 counters, 20 departure counters, 22 check-in counters and 10 gates to board aircraft, with a capacity of 6 million passengers a year.

From May 9th, exploitation of all Vietnam Airlines’ (VNA) international flights to and from the airport were moved from T1 to T2 terminals.

At the new terminal, VNA arranged 22 fixed procedure counters at the second floor.

According to Jetstar Pacific, from May 11th, the carrier’s international flights to and from the airport were handled at the new terminal. Passengers of international flights from Da Nang were served at counters 42, 43, and 44, while those arriving in the city conducted their immigration proceedings at a new location.

Currently, Jetstar Pacific and Jestar Group have 24 weekly international flights to and from the airport, including regular flights between Da Nang and Taipei, Da Nang and Hong Kong, and Da Nang and Singapore.

The carrier suggested passengers come to the airport two hours before the scheduled time of flights to avoid delays. As ruled, international flights will close and stop boarding procedures 50 minutes before the scheduled flight time./.
