APEC 2017 has succeeded with Da Nang as the host of the summit week contributing a considerable part. Not only that, it is also a chance for the central tourist city to promote its brand, creating driving force for development.

Sharing on this issue, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the city Department of Tourism, said Da Nang welcomed 2,000 delegates and businesses, and nearly 3,000 journalists to the important event.
“In particular, we have successfully received 21 leaders of economies, creating a good impression, based on their comments. That is a great success for Da Nang,” said Binh.
From the challenging event, he said that the coastal hub asserted its ability as a destination with sufficient potential in infrastructure and people to organize an international event.
For infrastructure, Da Nang has a system of three to five-star hotels and resorts which are invested and renovated, and ready to serve all needs of high-end tourists.
For people, APEC 2017 Summit Week proved that staff and human resources can fully meet strict requirements, and fulfilled all tasks. “This is a golden chance, not just for the tourism industry but for all fields and other industries. However, with the goal of developing as a tourism city, Da Nang needs to seize the chance to build itself into a high-quality tourism destination specializing in conferences and recreation.
The Department of Tourism will advise the adiminstraiton to orient, build tourism products, support businesses and organize international events to realize this goal./.
