According to ACV, in the 2016-2020 period, total investment capital needed for construction of airport infrastructure is VND31.670 trillion, in which capital expected to be disbursed in the period is VND22.143 trillion.

However, with an average after-tax profit of about VND2.5 trillion a year for the 2017-2020 period, ACV will not meet the need for investment capital to upgrade and expand airport infrastructure. Thus, the adjustment of aviation service prices is extremely urgent.

The Corporation also proposed an adjustment of service prices of domestic passengers being reduced from four to three periods, in accordance with the agreement of Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Finance.

Specifically, the prices will be increased from VND70,000 to VND75,000 from October 1st, 2017; from VND75,000 to VND85,000 from January 1st, 2018; from VND85,000 to VND100,000 from July 1st, 2018.

The adjustment will help revenue reach VND1.148 trillion, an increase of VND105 billion that will not affect airlines, but passengers will incur an addition VND25,000 cost per each one-way ticket./.
