As of December 2018, Russian investors had poured USD876,800 into 17 projects in the central coastal province of Binh Thuan with the focus on services and tourism.
Binh Thuan is a favorite destination to Russian tourists
With increasing numbers of Russian tourists, Binh Thuan has been attaching importance to developing comprehensive infrastructure facilities and travel services. In 2017, the locality greeted 142,639 Russian tourists, making up 25% of all foreigners traveling Binh Thuan, up 18% from the previous year.
In the first 11 months of 2018, the central province welcomed 136,674 tourists from the market, making up 13% of the total.
Recently, the Binh Thuan People’s Committee has proposing cooperation with Russia’s Kaluga province in a number of fields such as agriculture, industry, healthcare, education and training, and especially tourism and culture.
With tourism strength and potential, it looks to be a quality market and a trusted destination for tourists from Kaluga in particular and Russia in general.
According to strategy and overall plan to develop Vietnam’s tourism by 2020, with a vision to 2030, the Government leader defined Binh Thuan as one of the key areas for tourism development, with orientation of shaping it into a national and international sea tourism and sporting center.
With a 192-kilometer coast, the locality has many beautiful beaches, pristine white sand dunes, and a fresh climate. Binh Thuan now has more than 470 ongoing accommodation establishments./.
