The total number of tourists to the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa reached nearly 1.6 million, including nearly 900,000 foreigners, reported the provincial Department of Tourism.

Currently, Chinese tourists are still growing in number and continue to lead markets sending tourists to the locality. Recent statistics showed that about 200,000-220,000 Chinese tourists visit Nha Trang a month for sightseeing and relaxation.
It is followed by Russian travelers at more than 40,000 a month. Meanwhile, travelers from the Republic of Korea grew sharply in the first months of 2019 to nearly 30,000, up nearly 300% from the same period last year.
Average room occupancy in March reached more than 45%, in which those of 3-5 star hotels posted 55.5%, while 1-2 star hotels posted 30.15%.
With a coastline of over 380 km and hundreds of large and small islands stretching in the East and mild climate with sunshine all year round, Khanh Hoa has many advantages to develop tourism, especially sea and island tourism.
In 2018, Khanh Hoa greeted nearly 6.3 million tourists, including about 2.8 million foreigners, a year-on-year rise of 37%; grossing over VND20.5 trillion in revenue.
During the National Tourism Year 2019, the locality set a target of welcoming more than 6.8 million tourists, up 7% over a year earlier, including 3.3 million foreigners, up 18%. Total tourism turnover will reach about VND22.5 trillion./.
