Domestic carriers increase flights for upcoming holiday

Vietjet Air has announced it will add 200 flights during the four-day National holiday around April 30th and May 1st.


The increased flights are equivalent to 46,000 seats, with the majority of them flying to Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Da Lat and international destinations such as the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China) and Thailand to serve the increasing travel demand.

For empty flights during the peak season, the carrier will offer many promotional programs.

Meanwhile, Vietnam Airlines announced it would increase flights from Ho Chi Minh city to Singapore and Taipei (Taiwan - China) with four flights a week. After adding flights, the national flag carrier will operate 25 flights a week from Ho Chi Minh city to Singapore and 11 flights a week between Ho Chi Minh city and Taipei.

According to a representative from Jetstar Pacific, during the holidays, the airlines’ flight frequency will increase by 20% over a year earlier, equivalent to more than 20 flights a week.

Specifically, the carrier will add flights to Thailand to serve passengers during summer, with an additional seven return flights between Ho Chi Minh city and Bangkok, raising the total flights on the route from one to two a day.
