Hanoi set to welcome first international tourist in 2020

The Hanoi Department of Tourism has announced it will coordinate with the Department of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam Airlines Corporation, and Noi Bai International Airport to welcome the first international tourist to the capital in 2020.

This is an annual activity to celebrate the New Year 2020 with the aim of increasing promotion and introduction of Hanoi as a City for Peace and a safe, friendly and attractive destination.
The welcoming ceremony will be held on January 1st, 2020 as the first international flight lands in Hanoi.
It is expected to be attended by leaders of the city People’s Committee, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Vietnam Airlines Corporation, Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi Tourism Association and representatives of some travel agencies, hotels and transport companies in the city.
In 2019, the first international traveler to Hanoi was Mr. Timo Kux of German nationality./.
