HCM city - Can Gio - Vung Tau high-speed boat route to launch in October

Earlier, on September 14^th, the Department coordinated with related units to check the technical operation of high-speed boats on the route in order to ensure safety for official operation.

As planned, there will be four boats daily from Bach Dang to Can Gio with duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes, while the Can Gio - Vung Tau route will have eight boats daily with a travel time of 30 minutes.

Passenger tickets on the HCM city - Can Gio route are priced at VND200,000 each.

This is a new high-speed boat route and all boats used for the route are completely purpose-built, not simply renovated or repaired like the previous hydrofoils.

Currently, the city is boosting the development of waterway transport to reduce road traffic. In October, the river bus route from Bach Dang Wharf to Linh Dong, Thu Duc district, will be put into operation./.
