BAA Training is a pilot training centre that provides specialized and flexible solutions for global companies. In 2017, the centre saw 750 pilots from Europe, Northern and Southern America, Africa and Asia using 85 flight simulators with total time of 25,000 hours.

In Vietnam, it targets completing four flight simulators and Ab Initio Pilot Training School before 2023.

As forecast by Boeing, Asia Pacific will need around 253,000 pilots from now until 2036.

In Southeast Asia, the number of aircrafts will increase from 1,410 to 4,200 between 2016 and 2036 with 77% of these being one-alley aircrafts of A320 and Boeing 737.

Aiming to meet the increasing demand for trained pilots in the region, BAA Training Vietnam plans to build a modern training ground in Ho Chi Minh city and targets opening Ab Initio Pilot Training School in the next five years.

In addition, aiming to speed up the development process and enhance the operation capacity of the centre, assembly of simulators modelling Airbus A320 NEO and Boeing 737 MAX cabins will be completed by 2020.

Mr. Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO of BAA Training, said the establishment of BAA Training Vietnam aims to share experiences which were accumulated through many years of operating BAA Training around the world, as well as ensure professional and transparent flight training services for private customers and enterprises in the region./.
