Lao Cai province to plant 10 hectares of buckwheat flowers

From the start of the year, Bac Ha district in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai has assisted people in three communes to plant 10 hectares of buckwheat flowers to serve tourists.

Specifically, the three communes included Thai Giang Pho (3.5 hectares), Lau Thi Ngai (3.5 hectares) and Ta Van Chu (3 hectares).
According to the Bac Ha Agriculture and Rural Development Office, the district will provide 80 kg of buckwheat flower seeds per hectare and VND7 million per hectare for fertilizer.
As scheduled, people of the three communes will plant buckwheat to flower during the Reunification Day (April 30th), Bac Ha traditional horse racing in June 2017, National Day (September 2nd) and New Year occasion./.
