Moc Chau planned to be national tourism area

Under the decision, the scope of the scheme covers Moc Chau and Van Ho districts with a total natural area of 206,150 hectares.

The Moc Chau national tourism area will include Moc Chau recreation centre, Moc Chau eco-tourism centre and Moc Chau entertainment centre, with the scale of about 1,500 hectares.

The scheme aims to promote the value of natural landscape, national cultural and local identity to meet the requirements of tourism construction and development of the northern mountainous and midland region, and orient the organization of space, land use planning, technical infrastructure, environment hygiene, social infrastructure and comprehensive services for the Moc Chau national tourism area. 

The Moc Chau national tourism area is among the key zones to develop Northern part of  Son La and is also the centre of agricultural, forestry and small scale industry production of the locality. In addition, it also plays an important position in national defence security./.
