Nam Dan greets 1 million visitors in first quarter

In the first three months of the year, about 1 million tourists visited Nam Dan district in the central province of Nghe An, for a gross turnover of about VND15 billion (USD0.66 million).

The figures were released in a recent meeting between the Nghe An Department of Tourism and Nam Dan district Party Committee about tourism development.

This included 162 delegations of foreign visitors with about 838 people, from Canada, the Republic of Korea, Laos, Thailand, the UK, Japan, Taiwan (China), Denmark, India, Nepal, Poland, Singapore, the US, Germany, China, Czech Republic, Israel, Malaysia, Australia, Sweden, Italy, Nigeria, Brazil, Austria, New Zealand and Switzerland.

The district has asked Nghe An and the provincial Department of Tourism to support investment in the infrastructure of tourist destinations and zones, and help to build tours and invite travel agencies of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city to conduct surveys on incorporating Nam Dan as part of their tour programs./.
