Nearly 7 million tourists visit Da Nang in 10 months

The central city of Da Nang greeted more than 6.83 million tourists in Jan-Oct 2018, a year-on-year rise of 21.5%; including over 2.5 million foreigners, up 31%, according to Department of Tourism.

Total tourism turnover reached an estimated VND23.66 trillion, a year-on-year rise of 43.1%.
In October alone, tourist arrivals numbered over 608,700, a year-on-year rise of 17.2%; in which the number of foreigners reached 253,000, a year-on-year rise of 29.5%.
This month; the Department organized the photo contest “Fantastic Da Nang”, realized a research plan for the domestic market, promoted tourism at ITB Asia Singapore, joined Seatrade Cruise Asia Pacific in China, finalized plans to expand the market in the 2019-2020 period, and welcomed Famtrip Daegu from the Republic of Korea.
In addition, the tourism industry focused on popularizing Resolution 08-NQ/TW dated January 16th, 2017 of the Politburo on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector and the Da Nang Smile campaign in order to raise awareness and activities of the community.
The central city strives to welcome 7.47 million tourists in 2018, grossing a turnover of VND22.5 trillion./.
