Overall scheme on Nui Coc lake national tourism area approved

Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Trinh Dinh Dung has agreed with the Ministry of Construction’s establishing an overall scheme for the building of Nui Coc lake national tourism area by 2025, with an orientation to 2030.

According to the scheme, the core area to be developed into Nui Coc Lake national tourist site is 1,200 hectares, while the planned area includes the entire landscape of Nui Coc lake and neighboring area in Thai Nguyen city, Pho Yen town and Dai Tu district.
By 2025, Nui Coc lake strives to meet all the criteria to become a national tourism site. By 2030, it is to become a center of ecotourism and a national resort in Vietnam with modern facilities and infrastructure.
Thai Nguyen will diversify its tourism products and develop the Thai Nguyen tea brand, which will then be able to compete with other tea brands in the region.
The national tourism site strives to greet about 2.5 million tourists by 2025, in which foreigners staying overnight are 10,000, and to welcome four million tourists by 2030, including 20,000 foreigners.
Total tourism revenue is expected to reach VND860 billion by 2025 and VND2 trillion by 2030./.
