Paragliding festival to be held in May

The Khau Pha Paragliding Festival will be held on May 13th and 14th around Khau Pha Mountain Pass as part of the 2017 Yen Bai Tourism Year.

The event has been organized annually since 2012 to highlight the nature, culture and people of Mu Can Chai, as well as promote and effectively tap the area's potential to lure more investment in tourism.
This year, the festival is among activities of the 2017 National Tourism Year in Lao Cai and Northwestern provinces.
Khau Pha is one of the longest mountain passes in Vietnam, with a height of more than 1,200 meters above the sea level, and the space between the taking off point and landing point is about 600 meters.
The 2017 Yen Bai Tourism Year, with the theme “Sparkling Colours of Yen Bai”, will take place at 19:00 on May 12th at August 19th Square in the northwestern province of Yen Bai./.
