PM ratifies Ban Gioc Waterfall tourism area scheme

The Ban Gioc Waterfall tourism area will be developed into a key tourism destination of the northeastern mountainous province of Cao Bang and Vietnam; contributing to speeding up the provincial and regional socio-economic development in combination with protecting security and national defence.

This is part of the master scheme for the construction of the Ban Gioc Waterfall tourism area and the detailed scheme of the Ban Gioc Waterfall tourism centre recently approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Accordingly, the scope of the master scheme of the Ban Gioc Waterfall tourism area is 1,000 hectares, while those of the detailed scheme of the Ban Gioc Waterfall tourism centre is 156.7 hectares.

The landscape of the centre is divided into four areas: scenery around Ban Gioc Waterfall, scenery along Quay Son River, scenery of hills and mountains forest ecology, and scenery of agricultural ecology.

By 2020, the Ban Gioc Waterfall tourism area will greet about 750,000 tourist arrivals with a total 1,010 rooms occupancy, and by 2030 the figure will be 1.2 million with a total 1,750 rooms to meet the accommodation demand./.
