Program to stimulate tourism demand launched

​The Vietnam Tourism Association and Vietnam Airlines (VNA) on February 26th coordinated to launch the program "Hello Sun", calling businesses to work together, giving visitors a complete and most secure travel experience.

This program is part of the tourism stimulus plan with the message "Safe Vietnam" launched by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, as the situation of Covid-19 epidemic is well controlled in Vietnam. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses and tourism to gradually recover the market after the impact of the epidemic.

With the name "Hello Sun", the program is an opportunity for visitors to start a new experience to all parts of the country, especially the areas full of warm sunlight such as the Central Highlands, South Central and Mekong Delta, Con Dao and Phu Quoc islands.

Joining the program as a pioneer, VNA offers visitors discounts of up to 50% of fare when traveling in groups of at least 6 people on the domestic itinerary departing from March 1st to May 31st. tickets are included in the package product combining air and travel services distributed by travel agencies.

The program will link local tourism facilities, industry associations and direct business and production units in the industry.

Units participating in the program must commit to reducing prices, increasing benefits and ensuring the highest safety for visitors based on 5 criteria of the Vietnam Tourism Association, including: safe tourism destinations; safe tourism businesses; safe stay, accommodation and entertainment services; safe catering, drinking, goods; and safe transporting service.

Sharing the effort to overcome the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on the tourism sector, Vu The Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said that Vietnam has just established the Vietnam Tourism Stimulation Alliance and launched the Vietnam Tourism Stimulation Program in 2020, mobilizing the participation of hundreds of businesses and implementing across the country. VNA has made great efforts and practical contributions to Covid-19 prevention efforts over the past time, and is a member that fully meets the criteria of the tourism stimulus program.

“As a national airline, VNA always accompanies the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and other agencies and associations to overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 epidemic,” Deputy General Director of VNA Le Hong Ha shared.

He emphasized that to become a pioneer in coordinating with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Vietnam Tourism Association, launching the program "Hello Sun" is an effort to contribute to the recovery of the tourism and aviation industry, bringing Vietnam’s tourism industry back soon and fulfilling the goal of becoming a key economic sector of the country./.
