Accordingly, companies from Australia joined a familiarization tour (Fam trip) from August 19th-23rd at tourist attractions in Hanoi and Quang Ninh to experience new products and services such as Ba Vi National Park, Duong Lam ancient village, Tay Phuong pagoda, Thach Xa dragonfly craft village, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature), Museum of Ethnology, Thang Long Royal Citadel, food tour in old streets, the “Quintessence of Tonkin” special art program, Ha Long bay and Quang Ninh museum.

The annual on-site tourism promotion activity aims to introduce new and special tourism products of Hanoi to tourism companies of Australia, one of the 10 biggest markets sending tourists to the capital. The move also facilitates tourism companies of the two countries to exchange and cooperate.

From this practical experience with tourism products in Hanoi and neighboring localities, Australian tourism companies will have the foundation to connect and build tourism products suitable to the tastes of tourists of the market.

Last year, Hanoi greeted more than 6 million foreign tourists, a year-on-year rise of 21.3%. In the first seven months of 2019, the number of foreigners reached 3.73 million, including over 109,000 Australians./.
