Promoting Vietnam's tourism in key markets

(CPV) - The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) will promote Vietnam’s tourism at major markets such as China, Australia, Japan and Northern Europe in the coming time.

Accordingly, from August 18th to 23rd, VNAT will promote Vietnam’s tourism in the Chinese market (Xiamen - Fujian province, Baotou - Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Nanchang - Jiangxi province) as part of the national tourism promotion program in 2017.

Each promotion event is expected to be attended by the provincial Department of Tourism, Foreign Affairs Department, mass media and about 300-350 travel agencies in China.

China is always the leading tourist market of the nation. Last year, Vietnam greeted nearly 2.7 million Chinese tourists, a year-on-year rise of 51.4%. In the first seven months of the year, the neighboring market sent 2.2 million tourists to Vietnam, a 51% increase over a year earlier.

In August-September 2017, the Administration will arrange the introduction of Vietnam's tourism in Australia from August 15th to 18th, in Northern Europe from September 13th to 20th, in ASEAN countries from late August to early September and in Japan from September 16th to 22nd.

In addition, the organ will join major international fairs JATA Tourism Expo from September 21st to 24th in Tokyo, Japan; Top Resa from September 26th to 29th in Paris, France; International Travel Fair from October 27th to 30th in Taipei, China; and World Travel Market from November 6th to 10th in London, the UK./.
