Accordingly, the budget carrier Jetstar Pacific will operate the two routes. The Dong Hoi - Hai Phong route will be launched on April 29th with three flights a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Currently, tickets for the route are being sold at agents and the carrier’s website. This is Jetstar Pacific’s 40th domestic air route.

Meanwhile, the Dong Hoi - Chiang Mai route, scheduled to run from June 16th, will have two flights a week on Monday and Friday.

Quang Binh has abundant tourism natural resources and is called the Kingdom of caves, with famous ones such as Son Doong, En, Phong Nha and Thien Duong.

The launch of the two routes will help the Quang Binh tourism sector grow and increase tourist connections between the northeastern region and Thailand and central coastal provinces.

In addition, the air route will help reduce travel time from Quang Binh to Chiang Mai to 2 hours, instead of two days by road. This promises to contribute to increasing tourists from Thailand to the central coastal locality.

In 2017, Quang Binh organizes numerous tourism activities such as cave festival, national beach volleyball tournament, exploring tours related to the Hollywood movie “Kong: Skull Island”, and Miss Grand International.

This year, the province strives to greet three million tourists, grossing a revenue of VND3 trillion (about USD132.15 million)./.
