Specifically, during the period, Da Nang greeted more than 64,000 maritime tourists, a year-on-year rise of 2%; in which more than 25,000 maritime tourists were from Europe and the US.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, said tourism businesses in the central hub focused on tapping various markets, especially high spending markets like Europe and the US. In addition, the department also organized more tourism promotion tours at these markets.

Notably, Aviva yacht bringing British billionaire Joe Lewis to Tien Sa Port to visit Da Nang and nearby tourist destinations in May offers a good chance to promote high quality cruise travel in the city.

Aiming to attract maritime tourists to Da Nang, cruise tourism operators like Saigontourist, Pacific Legend, Destination Asia, and Khang Huy actively built many programs.

Meanwhile, the city tourism industry has focused on investing and developing tourist attractions and entertainment places such as Cham Museum, Da Nang Museum, Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountain), Non Nuoc Stone Village, Ba Na Hills, public beaches, golf courses, and shopping places like Han market, Big C and Lotte Mart.

Art shows like Da Nang Charming, Ao Dai Story and beach activities contribute to diversifying tourism products and services for tourists.

As planned, in the second half of the year, Da Nang will receive nearly 40 cruise ships at Tien Sa Port with more than 70,000 travelers. Specifically, Khang Huy Travel Company plans to greet China’s Taishan cruise ship in mid September, with a frequency of a trip every four days./.
