Seven months: Over 8.4 million tourists visit Quang Ninh

Quang Ninh greeted more than 8.4 million tourists in Jan-July 2018, a year-on-year rise of 26%, in which foreigners reached more than 2.8 million, up 17%, reported Vietnam News Agency.

Total tourism turnover reached more than VND14 trillion, up 30%.
In July, although the complicated weather affected the locality’s tourism activities, the number of tourists to Quang Ninh still reached 916,000, grossing revenue of more than VND17 trillion.
This month, the northern province also launched flight market for the Quang Ninh International Airport in Taiwan (China) and worked with related units to build a draft coordinative plan for the Asian Tourism Forum 2019.
Recently, Chairman of the Quang Ninh People’s Committee has fixed to use Bach Dang bridge linking the Ha Long - Hai Phong highway on September 2nd, reducing time for travelling to Ha Long, Van Don and Mong Cai.
In addition, the Van Don International Airport has completed pilot flights to officially operate in the end of 2018. The airport is expected to help the province fulfill the target of welcoming 12 million tourists this year./.
