Son Tra Peninsula becomes national tourism area

Son Tra Peninsula in the central coastal city of Da Nang has received the approval of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to become a national tourism area before 2025.

The Son Tra national tourism area is planned to develop on 1,056 hectares, accounting for one fourth of Son Tra district’s area, through exploiting strength in forest and sea resources with the focus on some tourist products such as: eco-tourism, high-end recreation, cultural-spiritual tourism, sporting tourism and adventure sports.

By 2025, the tourist attraction is expected to greet about 3.5 million tourist arrivals a year, grossing a revenue of about VND1.9 trillion and the figure will reach to 4.6 million by 2030, earning a turnover of about VND4.3 trillion.

As a national tourism area, Son Tra will contribute to creating more than 2,800 jobs for direct workers./.
