Southern city welcomes over 2.77 million foreign tourists in first half

This month, the city earned a revenue of more than VND8.63 trillion from tourism activities like restaurant, accommodation and travel, a 14.7% rise against the same period last year.

Totalling the first six months of the year, the number of foreign tourists to the city reached more than 2.77 million, up 14% over a year earlier and fulfilling 46% of the year’s plan.

Total tourism turnover in the six months was estimated at VND53.617 trillion, up 12% and fulfilling 47% of the year’s plan.

In the coming time, Ho Chi Minh city will develop two pedestrians in Bui Vien street and Bach Dang Port, and open more tours to markets to attract more foreign tourists.
