The Ho Chi Minh city Tourism Promotion Centre on August 2nd put two visitor information and support stations into operation.

Foreign tourists looked up information at a station

Accordingly, the operation of the two information stations aims to meet the demand of foreign tourists, limiting risks and problems arising when tourists visit Ho Chi Minh city.

The stations, which have an area of about 55 square meters each, are located at Bach Dang Wharf Park and zone B of 23 September Park in District 1. They operate from 08h00 to 21h00.

Each station is fully equipped with paper publications such as travel guides, tourist maps, tourist codes of conduct, promotion information and tourism businesses in the city. They are also equipped with two intelligent screens and two computers with Internet connection to provide tourist information and directions to tourist attractions.

After one year of testing the two stations, the centre will review and propose expanding the model in Tan Son Nhat International Airport and the city’s key attractions such as Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum.

In the first seven months of the year, foreign tourist arrivals to the city reached more than 3.2 million, a year-on-year rise of more than 16%./.
