The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has presented ASEAN Clean Tourist City Awards to Hue, Hoi An and Da Lat.

The awards, launched in 2017, recognizes cities which attract most tourists, pay attention to environmental hygiene, and ensure green and clean landscapes.
Hue, Hoi An and Da Lat are the ideal destinations for both domestic and foreign tourists. Besides popular landscapes, special culture traits and unique regional features, these cities take the lead in developing green tourism.
The title is valid for two years (from 2018 to 2020). To win the recognition, the nominated cities must meet criteria related to overall environmental management activities, cleanliness and hygiene ensuring, and waste management.
The title is part of ASEAN Tourism Awards which also honored 11 other winners at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2018 in Thailand, including five ASEAN Green Hotel Awards; one ASEAN Sustainable Tourism Award; and five MICE Venue Awards./.
