Vietjet Air to connect Ho Chi Minh city with Jakarta

(CPV) - The low-cost carrier Vietjet Air has announced the opening of a new international route connecting Ho Chi Minh city with the Indonesian capital Jakarta.

The launch of the new route was witnessed by high-ranking officials from Vietnam and Indonesia 

The announcement ceremony was witnessed by high-ranking officials from Vietnam and Indonesia during the official visit of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC)-Jakarta route, a three-hour flight, will operate daily from this December 20th with flights departing from HCMC at 20h40 and arriving in Jakarta at 23h40 (local time).

The return flight takes off at 01h40 (local time) and lands in HCMC at 04h40.

Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong, Vietjet’s Vice President, said: “With its mission of making air travel approachable and possible for everyone and building a future in the air, The carrier’s new route is expected to boost ties between these two economic, cultural and financial hubs, thus helping to boost regional trade and integration.”
