Vietnam licenses another airline

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has granted Aircraft Operator Certificate (AOC) to Vietstar Airlines Multirole Corporation (Vietstar Airlines), allowing the carrier to operate commercial flights in the country.

The certificate makes the carrier the first multirole corporation in Vietnam to obtain permission for operating business jets.

It will provide VIP air services for individuals, organizations, and domestic and foreign businesses on Embraer Legacy 600 and Beechcraft King Air B300 aircraft. The Embraer Legacy 600 is a business jet which can accommodate 13 passengers, while the Beechcraft Model 300 King Air is a twin-turboprop aircraft with eight seats.

Vietstar Airlines Multirole Corporation (VSA) is an aviation company specialized in Passenger - Cargo Transport, Aircraft Repair & Maintenance, Aviation Fuel supplying and pilot training in Vietnam.

The carrier has three main shareholders, the A41 Aircraft Repair Company under the Ministry of National Defense, Vietstar Aviation JSC, and Tin Thanh Express JSC. It was set up with an initial capital of VND400 billion.

Vietnam now has six operating airlines, namely Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific, Vasco, Bamboo Airways and Vietstar./.
