VNAT, VNPT join hands to develop smart tourism

The Vietnam National Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) on November 22nd signed an agreement to apply information technology (IT) on applying the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (4IR) to the tourism industry.

Under the deal, the two sides will annually build cooperative programs suitable to the development target of each, so as to promote Vietnam’s tourism image to international tourists by applying modern IT solutions and services.

In addition, they will associate in building and developing IT-applied programs to serve management and information connection with localities and enterprises in developing tourism; building and providing technology, linking and expanding cooperation in tourism; and building digital technology products to serve tourists.

VNPT will provide technological solutions and telecommunication services to improve the effectiveness of E-marketing. 

In recent years, Vietnam’s tourism saw positive movement and is ready for 4IR to improve its competitive capacity. Tourism businesses have started digitizing data and promoting new technology applications to improve experiences for customers.

In the flow of 4IR, VNPT has taken necessary steps by building broadband network infrastructure and creating intelligent connectivity that provides services and utilities to meet the needs of customers and tourists./.
