A strategic cooperation deal was signed between Sai Gon Tourism Corporation (Saigontourist) and Vietnam Post and Telecommunications (VNPT) group in Ho Chi Minh, on October 24th.

Under the deal, VNPT will provide and cooperate with Saigontourist in developing Smart Tourism solutions which help the corporation bring tourists the most rapid and economical tourism experiences and maximize its revenue.
The move is considered to be suitable with Ho Chi Minh city’s route of building smart urban area, along with other localities where Saigontourist is present.
In addition, VNPT will provide products, services, software, technological and digital equipment for the business of hotels, restaurants, travel, and entertainment to this travel agency.
Meanwhile, Saigontourist will provide business services to VNPT and its member units with the best possible conditions at reasonable prices, in accordance with the legal regulations and on the basis of signed contracts.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of the city People's Committee, said that in tourism development strategy, together with infrastructure investment solutions and tourism products; the hub attached special importance to technology, especially digital, in order to meet the increasing demand of visitors.
Therefore, the strategic cooperation is an important premise for the city to achieve the goal of attracting 10 million international visitors by 2020./.
