(CPV) - The Kim Dong Publishing House, the Young Pioneer Newspaper and the “For beloved Hoang Sa, Truong Sa” Club launched a writing contest with the theme “Stories about the sea and islands” for children nationwide on August 30th.

Stories about the homeland’s sea and islands are always fiercely attractive and appealing for children. The vast ocean with enduring vitality, unique creatures, unforgettable experiences and inhabitants on islands give children a special impression. It is also the foundation for the love of nature and awareness of environmental protection.

The organizing board will present one first prize (worth VND2 million), one second prize (worth VND1 million), two third prizes (worth VND500,000 each) and three consolation prizes (worth VND300,000 each) to the best stories. They will also present a collective prize (worth VND2 million) to the organization that has the largest number of entries.
