Japanese businesses increase investment in Vietnamese localities

In 2019, beside increased investment promotion in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city, Japanese businesses tend to invest more in Vietnamese localities, Hironobu Kitagawa, Chief representative of the Japanese External Trade Organisation (JETRO), has said.


JETRO has released a report on the situation of Japanese businesses’ investment in Vietnam in 2018 to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).

According to the report, together with the development of Japanese businesses in manufacturing, 2018 saw the strong development of those in non-manufacturing sectors.

JETRO representative also said 65.3% of Japanese businesses in Vietnam operated with profit, confirming that Vietnam continues to prove itself a destination for investment because of increased turnover, high potential and growth./.
