Vietnamese destinations appraised by foreign press in 2017

Hoi An ancient city, Ha Long bay, and Phu Quoc island are among destinations loved by foreign tourists in Vietnam.

Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai, Vietnam

Recently, Insider Page has announced a list of the world’s most stunning mountains, including Mu Cang Chai. Mu Cang Chai is a rural district of Yen Bai province, in the Northwest region of Vietnam. It attracts both domestic and foreign tourists by the beautiful rice terrace fields. The list also includes mountains Andes in Bolivia; Fuji in Japan and Rainbow in Peru.


Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh

In the top beautiful World Heritages Sites announced by CNTraveler in October, Ha Long bay along with Taj Mahal (India) and Angkor Temple (Cambodia) is one of the three destinations mentioned in Asia.

Ha Long bay is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracting both domestic and foreign tourists by it’s a dense cluster of some 1,600 limestone monolithic islands, each topped with thick jungle vegetation, rising spectacularly from the ocean. Tourists will have a chance to enjoy the peaceful scenes and beautiful beaches.

Hanoi

Hanoi capital has been mentioned during past years. In September, Airbnb, the world's largest community driven hospitality company offering homes and experiences for travellers, listed Hanoi as a destination for tourism in 2017. In November, the city was once again named in the top cities of world’s best food by Caterwings.

The capital attracts tourists by its French colonial architecture and rich culture through centuries. Tourists could visit historical architectural works or enjoy delicious dishes here.

Son Doong cave, Quang Binh

Son Doong Cave, the world’s biggest cave, is in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, Vietnam. It has been listed among top of destinations by international press such as Business Insider, Buzzfeed, and Smithsonian. This year, Dailymail listed it among the world’s most extreme camping spots.

Hoi An, Quang Nam

Post Office’s Holiday Money, a database of travel costs, has just revealed 30 cheapest cities for British travellers.

To little surprise, Hoi An has been named among the most affordable. Rankings are based on the minimum required budget for 10 holiday items UK tourists are likely to purchase, including a cup of coffee, a pint of beer, a bottle of water, sun cream, insect repellent, and a three-course dinner for two with a bottle of wine.

Ho Chi Minh city (Sai Gon)

Along with the capital Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city has been named among the world’s best food destinations by Caterwings, a site that offers online food ordering service in Europe.

It rode in at 80th position, while Hanoi secured 87th spot, on the list of 100 destinations ranked by 20,000 food journalists and restaurant critics.

Phu Quoc island, Kien Giang

In August, Travel and Leisure announced the list of world’s most secret beaches and Phu Quoc island, Kien Giang province was named along with Lord Howe island (Australia), Cayucos (California, US), and Panglao Island (the Philippines)./.
