Vietnamese photographers win international contest

Vietnamese photographers have won big at the 14th Orhan Holding International Photography Contest held in Bursa, Turkey, on December 1st.

Works by Dang Quang Vinh who won the FIAP's Best Author Award

Vietnam had 15 photographers participating in the contest. Among them, three photographers won prizes.

Dang Quang Vinh won the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP)’s Best Author Award and Ohran Holding special award in the experimental category for his "Molder."

Vu Manh Cuong won the bronze medal in the color category for his "Summer on the lotus pond," an aerial shot of a boat floating amid lotus leaves.

In the black-and-white category, Luong Nguyen Thien Chuong won the gold medal for "Gingli," a photo that shows a man trying to catch fish inside a cave with a net.

The prestigious Orhan Holding Photography Contest has been held annually since 1998. At first, the contest was reserved for Turkish photographers. Since 2004, it has been open to photographers worldwide.

This year’s contest drew 671 photographers from 71 nations, submitting over 5,000 works./.
