16 busiest airports in the world

The Airports Council International (ACI) has released its list of the busiest airports in the world in 2015.

Singapore Changi Airport is the primary civilian airport for Singapore,
and one of the largest transportation hubs in Southeast Asia

John F. Kennedy International Airport is a major international airport located in
Queens State, United States. It is the busiest international air passenger gateway into the United States
 and the busiest airport in the New York City airport system.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the main international airport of the Netherlands,
 located 9.1 km southwest of Amsterdam. It is the fifth busiest airport in Europe in terms of passengers.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport is the main hub for China Eastern Airlines and
Shanghai Airlines, and a major international hub for Air China.

Frankfurt Airport is a major international airport located in Frankfurt,
the fifth-largest city of Germany and one of the world's leading financial centres.

Istanbul Ataturk Airport is the main international airport serving Istanbul, and the biggest
 airport in Turkey by total number of passengers, destinations served and aircraft movements.

Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport in the United States is the the largest hub for
 American Airlines. In 2015, DFW served a record number 64,174,163 passengers.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport also known as Roissy Airport (name of the local district),
is the largest international airport in France.

Hong Kong International Airport is the main airport in Hong Kong. It is located
on the island of Chek Lap Kok, which largely comprises land reclaimed for the construction of the airport itself.

Los Angeles International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in the Greater Los Angeles
Area and the state of California, as well as being one of the largest international airports in the United States.

Heathrow Airport is a major international airport in Hillingdon, London, England. It is the busiest airport in
the United Kingdom, as well as the busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic, and sixth busiest airport in the world
by total passenger traffic. In 2015, it handled a record 75 million passengers, a 2.2 percent increase from 2014.

Tokyo International Airport. In 2015, the Airport  served a number of 75,316,718  passengers.

Chicago O'Hare International Airport is an international airport located on the Far Northwest Side of Chicago, Illinois.
O'Hare was the busiest airport in the world by number of takeoffs and landings in 2014.

Dubai International Airport is the primary airport serving Dubai, United Arab Emirates
and is the world's busiest airport by international passenger traffic.

Beijing Capital International Airport is the main international airport serving Beijing.

Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, is an international airport located
 about 11 km South of the central business district of Atlanta, Georgia.
It has been the world's busiest airport by passenger traffic since 1998.
