Floods and landslides affect thousands in Peru

Floods and mudslides have affected parts of the Lima Region in Peru, including the capital, where several rivers have overflowed.
Heavy rains and landslides in the North coastal provinces of Peru
have continued through last week
Numerous works of infrastructure, such as buildings, bridges and roads, collapsed
Scientists said Peru is experiencing the most severest weather in recent memory
Roads in the lowlands were flooded and left under up to a meter of mud
