National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year winners announced

The National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year has been named. The winning images were selected from three categories: People, Cities and Nature.
In the People category, the first prize went to a photograph of a horseman in Inner Mongolia
taken by Anthony Lau of Hong Kong.
Second place in the People category went to Yasmin Mund for an image titled
Rooftop Dreams, taken in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh in India.
Third place in the People category was presented to a photo by Mattia Passarini,
which depicts women carrying fire wood in a remote village in Mimachal, Pradesh, India.
Hiroki Inoue won first place for Nature with this photo of two foxes running through snow in
Biei, Hokkaido, Japan, titled "Wherever you go, I will follow you”.
The second prize in Nature category went to Massimiliano Bencivenni.
The third prize in Nature category went to Victor Lima who took a mysterious scene
in San Pedro de Atacama, Antofagasta, Chile.
First place in the Cities category went to Takashi Nakagawa. The winning image
captures a moment of reflection at the Ben Youssef Madrasa in Marrakesh, Morocco.
In the Cities category, the second place went to Wing Ka H which showed
school dormitories of South China Normal University.
Third prize went to Jeremy Tan whose photo showed lightning seemingly striking Komtar Tower.
