Andrej Babis' ANO movement won 78 seats in the 200-seat lower house of Parliament in October.

"Our country should be more active towards solving illegal immigration," Babis said.

Babis is among the richest people in the central European state, controlling over 250 companies, including several newspapers and the most popular radio station in the Czech Republic. During the campaign, he pledged to fight corruption and illegal immigration, while also voicing skepticism on adopting the euro as a currency in the 10.6-million nation.

Babis's new cabinet will take power on December 13th, allowing him to take part in a the following day in Brussels.

“I believe we will build a government that will be one team,” Mr. Babis told supporters and journalists during his victory speech. “We want to fulfill our program for a better life in our country”./.
