The coins include two faces "New Avenue Towards Peace" and "A Turning Point - Working Towards Complete Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula".

It also reads "One Peace and Three Leaders" in Korean, naming the leaders of the US and DPRK as well as Republic of Korea’s President Moon Jae-in, who has not been named as someone who will be present at the summit.

On the other side, the coin bears the national flags of the two Koreas and the US and the Presidential Palace of Vietnam.

Last year, the White House also announced a coin to mark the first Trump - Kim summit in Singapore.

The first summit between US President Trump and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un was held on June 12th, 2018, in Singapore. Singapore also issued gold coins to celebrate the summit held last June in the country.

At the summit, the parties signed a joint document, in which Pyongyang committed to denuclearising the Korean Peninsula in return for US security guarantees. However, negotiations after the summit have yet to gain positive progress.

Taking in the capital city of Hanoi on February 27th and 28th, at the second summit, the two countries are expected to pass a joint declaration outlining the DPRK’s specific steps on denuclearisation and reciprocal US moves, including a rollback of several sanctions./.
