William’s trip will begin in Amman, the capital of Jordan, on Sunday June 24th.

He will also visit the Jordanian city of Jerash, Tel Aviv in Israel, and Ramallah in Palestine.

The trip will end on Thursday, June 28th in Jerusalem, which straddles both Israel and Palestine.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it would be "an historic visit, the first of its kind" and said the Prince would be welcomed with “great affection”.

The office of the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, said it was an important visit "which we hope will contribute to strengthening ties of friendship between the two peoples".

This is also the first official royal visit to the Palestinian territories. It comes at the British government's request.

The trip was announced earlier this year, but the dates and destinations were disclosed on May 25th.

Prince William, born in 1982, is a member of the British royal family. He is the elder son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana, Princess of Wales, and since birth has been second in the line of succession to the British throne, after his father./.
