Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit Turkey

On March 31st, the Turkish Presidential Office said Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Turkey to participate in the 7th session of the Russia - Turkey High Level Cooperation Council from April 3rd - 4th.

The 7th session of the Russia - Turkey High Level Cooperation Council will be chaired by President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara.

In the framework of the visit by President Vladimir Tutin to the Turkey, the ceremony of laying the foundation of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant will be held, which will be built on the southern coast of Turkey.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu held a telephone conversation on March 30th to discuss the Putin-Erdogan meeting, the ministry said in a statement.

“The ministers discussed a number of pressing bilateral issues in light of the upcoming Russian - Turkish summit,” the statement said.

On April 4th, the Trilateral Summit on Syria will be held in Ankara with the participation of President Erdogan, Russian President Putin and President Hassan Rouhani of Iran./.
