“We are negotiating a location,” he told reporters before boarding a helicopter for the presidential retreat at Camp David, Maryland, where he said he would be discussing a trade deal with China.

“It will be announced probably in the not too distant future,” he said of a summit with leader Kim.

Vietnam, Indonesia, Hawaii, Mongolia and the demilitarized zone between DPRK and the Republic of Korea (RoK) have all been floated by foreign diplomats and DPRK experts as potential locations for the next summit.

On January 2nd, President Donald Trump said he looks forward to a second summit with the DPRK’s leader Kim Jong-un.

On Twitter, President Donald Trump said Kim Jong-un affirmed the DPRK will not make or test nuclear weapons, or give them to others, and the leader is ready to meet him anytime.

President Trump added he also looks forward to meeting with leader Kim who realizes so well that DPRK possesses great economic potential.

Earlier, President Donald Trump said leader Kim Jong-un sent him a “great letter” and that the two men would both like to meet for a second time.

Kim said in a New Year’s Day address that DPRK would take a “new path” in nuclear talks if the US didn’t relax its sanctions. He also said he’d be willing to meet Trump again. The President responded to the speech with a tweet focusing on the prospect of a second meeting.

President Donald Trump and leader Kim Jong-un held a private meeting for the first time at the Capella Hotel on Singapore’s resort island of Sentosa on June 12th.

"This is just a new beginning," said Mr. Trump while he was shaking hands with Kim.

The talks, the first of their kind, discussed the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula and the warming of relations between the two countries./.
