Two Koreas to hold general-grade military talks

The Republic of Korea (RoK) Ministry of National Defense on October 22nd announced that the two Koreas will hold general-grade talks at the Peace House at the border village of Panmunjom in the Demilitarised Zone, on October 26th.

The talks discuss implementing measures aimed at easing military tension between the two sides.

Besides, the meetings will also make an interim evaluation on the implementation of the military agreement and discuss a timeline for next steps.

Other topics include the establishment and operation method of a planned inter-Korean Joint Military Committee.

The five-member RoK delegation will be led by Major General Kim Do-kyun, who will join his DPRK counterpart, Lt. General An Ik-san.

The meeting will be the third of its kind this year, following inter-Korean general-grade military talks in June and July./.
