The US delegation led by Sung Kim, U.S. ambassador to the Philippines, held talks with the DPRK's team, led by Pyongyang's Vice Foreign Minister, Choe Son-hui, in the border village of Panmunjom.

The talks were known to have taken place from 10h00 to 16h00, according to the sources.

Over the past week, the two sides have met in the same place on May 27th, May 30th, June 2nd.

At a meeting with the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang Kyung-wha on June 1st, Mr. Sung Kim said the discussion was moving in the right direction, but added that there was still much work left before nailing down the summit between US President Donald Trump and DPRK’s leader Kim Jong-un.

The Summit is set to open on June 12th in Singapore.

Earlier, President Trump accepted an invitation from the DPRK’s leader to hold an unprecedented summit meeting to reach an agreement on nuclear disarmament.

RoK’s President Moon Jae-in said this meeting would be a "historical milestone" that will put the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula "really on track"./.
