One H7N9 death reported in China

A woman died of H7N9 bird flu infection in central China’s Hubei province, according to Xinhua.

The woman, 68, tested positive for the H7N9 strain of virus on April 27th after days of high fever with no apparent cause. She died on April 30th.

Earlier, northwest China's Gansu province has reported three H7N9 bird flu cases, the province's first human infections this year, authorities said.

The country first reported the disease in 2013.

In April, Jilin province and Tibet autonomous region also reported their first human H7N9 infections for 2017./.
