President Donald Trump to meet Arab leaders

US President Donald Trump will hold a series of meetings with Arab leaders, including of Jordan, Palestine and Egypt, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the U.N General Assembly meeting in New York, according to the White House.

As scheduled, Mr. Trump will talk with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi; Jordan King Abdullah and Palestine Mahmoud Abbas on September 20th in New York.

The US President, who took office in January, has recently sent two special diplomatic envoys to the area to jump start negotiations between Palestinians and Israeli to reach a lasting solution to the Palestine-Israel conflict.

The 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, titled “Focusing on people: Striving for peace and a decent life for all on a sustainable planet”, convened at UN Headquarters on Tuesday, September 12th.

The General Assembly (GA) is the UN's largest body, where all 193 members have equal say, and is now under the direction of recently sworn in GA President Miroslav Lajcak./.
