Vietnam attends IMDEX Asia 2017

The 11th International Maritime Defence Exhibition Asia 2017 (IMDEX Asia 2017) has opened at Singapore’s Changi Exhibition Centre from May 16th to 18th.

Vietnamese delegation led by Commander of the Vietnam People’s Navy, Rear Admiral Pham Hoai Nam attended the opening ceremony.

The biennial event saw the participation of naval and coast guard commanders and defence officials from 44 countries, and leading defence industrial groups worldwide.

Visitors experienced the largest ever exhibition, featuring 230 participating companies from 29 countries, and including an increased number of both returning and new exhibitors from France, Germany, Israel and Italy, among others.

In the framework of IMDEX Asia 2017, a series of relevant conferences were organized, including the 5th International Maritime Security Conference and the 3rd International Naval Engineering Conference, which focused on maritime security and updates on the latest technological trends for the naval field.

For close to two decades, IMDEX Asia has served the maritime defence community by providing the ultimate avenue for high-profile stakeholders, key industry players and naval engineering professionals to network, exchange ideas and do business.

Organised by Experia Events Pte Ltd and supported by the Republic of Singapore Navy and the Defence Science and Technology, the event is recognised globally as a choice platform for the industry to address challenges, co-create solutions and stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies./.
