Addressing the event, a representative from the Macao Government Tourism Office highly evaluated ASEAN food and culture, and said it would help enrich the life of Macao people and promote the city’s tourism.

The ASEAN Food Festival created a chance for ASEAN people to exchange and boost solidarity, contributing to build a more prosperous ASEAN community, as well as promoting connectivity between ASEAN and Macao in particular and ASEAN and China in general.

At the festival, people from ASEAN countries also put on artistic performances representing their national characteristics.

This is the second time Vietnam has participated the festival. Vietnamese traditional foods such as banh day (a kind of rice-cake), banh nep (glutinous rice cake), nem ran (fried meat roll) and bun cha (noodles and grilled meat), were praised by international friends./.
